ORIGINAL, UNSEEN JAMIE HEWLETT TANK GIRL ARTWORK WANTED!

Out there somewhere is a stash of unseen Tank Girl artwork, including some of Jamie’s original sketchbooks from the early days of Deadline Magazine. This is a call going out to anyone who has any idea where these items might be. I’m not after anything that’s already been published, or anyone else’s version of Tank Girl, only pure vintage Hewlett TG. I’m not after buying it back, I only require it to use in a forthcoming project. Any clues leading to its whereabouts will be amply rewarded with Tank Girl goodies!

  1. Hi Alan
In April 89 the Deadline team did a signing at Forbidden Planet, London. I was lucky enough to go and buy a copy of the Mercy Giants ‘We Think So Loud’ 12 inch single. I got everyone to sign/ draw a sketch on the inner sleeve. I have smallish head shots of characters by Brett Ewins, Steve Dillon, Brendan McCarthy, Shaky Kane, Philip Bond and a fairly largish head and shoulder sketch of TG by Jamie. It IS a sketch, but its a good ‘un and very representative of how Tankie looked in her first year before she started growing her hair. Would you be interested in a high res scan?
