A new retrospective of Tank Girl mentor Brett Ewins’ comic career. Brett co-created the magazine Deadline (TG’s original home) and worked on many much-loved characters and stories in 2000ad. Along with Brendan McCarthy, his style was a huge influence on Jamie Hewlett and Phil Bond’s early work. Includes a stack of artwork (some unseen) and an extensive interview by Alan McKenzie.

Booga rides again. and again…
A few years back I bought what I thought was a kangaroo action figure that looked suspiciously like merchandise from the Tank Girl movie. Just found out that I was very wrong! It seems that MGM must’ve kept hold of Stan Winston’s animatronic mutant-kangaroo outfits and heads from Tank Girl and decided to base a whole new crap film around them. This one even got a sequel! Go figure…
